I am Lawrence and I am a lower strings tutor at Orchestras for All.
 
Orchestras for All (OFA) is a National Youth Music Organisation that exists to create inclusive group music-making opportunities for young people who would otherwise be excluded. Over the past 10 years, OFA has developed three innovative programmes to break down significant barriers to orchestral music making for young people in the UK. They know that music making boosts young people’s skills and enriches their lives forever. That’s why they wholeheartedly believe that orchestras are FOR ALL.
 
I was born a cellist, but have always looked over to the far distant realm of the percussionists and admired their skill, precision and abandonment, so I have decided that I too want to bang a drum. Loudly.
 
The cello will remain in its case until the thunder and cacophony have passed, and I have become skilled enough to join a marching band.
