Stuart's learning the viola for Musical Chairs 2019
Stuart Burns
My Story
In aid of Orchestras for All's work with young musicians who face barriers to accessing ensemble music-making, I'm picking up the viola from scratch this year as part of Musical Chairs 2019. Along with 49 other intrepid beginners, we'll come together on Saturday 16 November to rehearse and perform together - and raise sponsorship from you lovely people along the way. With the help of some professionals and members of the National Orchestra for All, we will be performing a variety of pieces from OFA's season of music making including Verdi’s Anvil Chorus and an arrangement of a traditional Ghanaian song, A Keelie Makolay.
Any contribution is really welcome, no matter how big or small. And please come along and see us perform - tickets are free and can be reserved online: https://www.orchestrasforall.org/events/musical-chairs-2019
